Yoga, Sun Salutation: 2 - Arms Raised

Breathe in through the nose, as you raise your arms out to the sides (palms up) & over head. Hands can end up be shoulder width apart or touching with the palms facing each other.

Keep the the shoulders relaxed, separated & down. Maintain the feeling of weight in the shoulder blades & lift up through the chest.

Notes

It is not uncommon to see this pose extended so that the spine arches back.
